Idyllic 4-Bedroom Coastal Cottage Steps from the Beach in Skagen

Only 300 metres from the beach, this idyllic black-timber cottage offers a relaxed coastal retreat among the dunes of Skagen. The 79 m² home accommodates up to seven guests across four bedrooms, providing a wonderfully flexible base for families or friends who want the sand, sea and open landscape close at hand.

Inviting Coastal Living

The main room combines a wood-lined kitchen, dining area and comfortable lounge beneath a pitched ceiling. Wide windows and glazed terrace doors draw the surrounding grasses and coastal light into the interior. A wood-burning stove, flatscreen television and radio make the cottage equally welcoming on cool or windy days.

The fitted kitchen provides generous worktops, an oven, hob and dishwasher, supporting easy meals for the whole group. Four bedrooms offer a practical combination of double, single and bunk beds, while the bathroom includes a shower and washing machine.

A Generous Wraparound Terrace

Outdoor living is central to the property. A large timber terrace wraps around the cottage with tables and seating for open-air breakfasts, family lunches and long summer evenings. An outdoor shower is especially useful after returning from the beach. Heating, Wi-Fi, towels, bed linen and self check-in add convenience throughout the stay.

Skagen's Extraordinary Landscape

The nearby shore is the immediate attraction, but the wider region offers exceptional nature and culture. Grenen marks the spectacular point where the Skagerrak and Kattegat seas meet, while Råbjerg Mile presents a dramatic migrating-dune landscape. Skagens Museum celebrates the artists drawn to the area's distinctive light.

With the beach just a short walk away, generous outdoor space and room for seven guests, this charming cottage provides an authentic setting for a memorable Danish seaside holiday.

A Traditional Cottage Atmosphere

Timber-lined walls and ceilings give the interior the warm, informal character of a classic Danish holiday home. The pitched roof adds volume to the shared room, while the stove provides a natural focal point when coastal weather turns cool. Simple furnishings keep the emphasis on family time, outdoor living and the surrounding landscape.

Flexible Sleeping for Seven

The four bedrooms use a mixture of double, single and bunk arrangements to reach the stated capacity. This configuration is particularly suited to families and groups that include children. Guests should review the bed layout before booking, as the compact bunk rooms differ from conventional full-size double bedrooms.

Life between Terrace and Beach

The wraparound deck provides several places to follow the sun or find shelter from the breeze. Outdoor dining and the post-beach shower make it easy to spend most of a summer day outside, while the full kitchen and dishwasher support relaxed meals for the entire household.

Discover Skagen

Beyond the nearby shore, the region is celebrated for wide skies, dune landscapes and the distinctive light that attracted generations of artists. Skagen's harbour, museums and town centre add restaurants and cultural attractions, while Grenen and Råbjerg Mile offer unforgettable natural excursions.
